Paper Towns by John Green

Janessa’s Pick:

 (Dutton, October 2008)

John Green is one of my favorite authors and Paper Towns is one of my favorite books. Paper Towns is about Quentin and his childhood friend Margo. One night, Margo climbs through Quentin’s window and takes him on a wild adventure. By the next day, she’s completely disappeared. Luckily, Margo seems to have left behind clues to her whereabouts specifically for him.

One of the things I like about this book is that the characters feel real. They react to the situations in ways that real people actually would.

Something about John’s writing style is that he always adds random facts into his stories, for example, what a paper town is. Through everyone of his books, I’ve learned something new.

All in all, the book is very funny, very real and it’s completely worth reading.
