Home Front by Kristin Hannah

Kristin Hannah has not let me down again.  If you need a tear jerker and a believable story, she is your author.

This books tells you about a mom going off to war and the father being left at home with the children.  The father hasn’t done anything with the house and the children, the mother has done it all.  The marriage has fallen apart, the family is angry that the mother is leaving and then there is the war in Iraq.

I don’t want to give away the story, but it really makes you think about the real life and families being torn apart by war.  What these families must be going thru, the hurt, anguish, anger, the constant worry about your loved ones.  What is it like to come home after the war and find out that your family’s life has moved on…..everything is different and you are different too.

Truly a great read and must have kleenex on hand.
