Linda’s Non-Fiction Pick:
(Gallery Books, January 2012)
“Our book keeper says this book checks out!” Or at least those of us at Parkland Regional HQ say as we put words into Linda’s mouth. However, as the first post not written by the reader, I have taken a few liberties.
Linda admits that she does not usually read or enjoy non-fiction, but found herself drawn to this book and ended up loving it. She described it as an in-depth look at a personal relationship with a very famous boss, as told by his personal assistant. Throughout the book, Terenzio gives the reader a down to earth and entertaining read, introducing her readers to a side of JFK Jr. that was before confined to behind closed doors and the moments before his professional and public persona clicked ‘on’. Linda called the work; “easy, accessible and not just another celebrity book”.
And just to stress how much she liked the book- Linda was quick to point out; “Shirley liked it, too!”
