Grow the good life – why a vegetable garden will make you happy, healthy, wealthy and wise by Michele Owens.

Rodale 2011

Agnes’s non-fiction pick

One of the latest crop of back to the land type books, Owens sets out to convince that growing a vegetable garden is good for you in every respect.  Drawing on her own experiences over the last 20 years, she explains why it is something everyone should try.

If you are new to vegetable gardening, this is not really a how-to manual although it may convince you to go ahead.

I didn’t think Owens added anything new to existing books and magazines on the subject; however it was an enjoyable read.
