Agnes’s junior non-fiction pick for adults too.

This book gives clear, easy to follow instructions on how to use and get the most out of your iPad.

It has lots of suggestions for apps for school from fourth through to seventh grade, also how to chat, text, email , use FaceTime and Skype, and listen to music among others.

Chapter 9 is all about downloading eBooks, and includes a section on how to download them for free from your local library (that’s us).

This would be a very useful book for adults too.  The step by step instructions with photos make it easy to read and it is not loaded with technobabble.

Like most technology books, it will probably be outdated very quickly, but hopefully the basics will stay the same and we’ll all have mastered the thing by then.
