Promise of Stardust by Priscille Sibley

Linda’s Fiction Pick:

promiseofstardust (Avon, 2013)

This book is a novel about life, death and love.

Matt Beaulieu has loved his neighbor and friend Elle McClure since childhood. Elle suffers a fatal accident, has sever brain damage and is put on life support. This is when Matt, a well-know doctor discovers that Elle is pregnant.

Elle had previously suffered two miscarriages and desperately wanted children. Matt’s mother feels that Elle’s wishes for a living will (D.N.R.) should be respected. Matt is torn between Elle’s living will and his desire to become a father.

This book is a very thought-provoking examination of current important issues.
