Dinosaur Thunder is technically the 3rd book in the Thunder Series by James F. David, but works perfectly well as a stand alone read. There is enough background given on previous events to bring you up to speed, and fully immerse you in this strange new world.
For the last 18 years, humanity has been sharing the planet with huge swaths of the Cretaceous period. An effect known as the time quilt has caused Prehistoric plants, landscapes and dinosaurs to appear across the globe, displacing cities and people. While the dinosaurs caused major disruptions, they have now been confined to parks and farms and are heavily monitored and tracked by newly formed government agencies. So when new dinosaurs begin randomly appearing, attacking people and rampaging through cities, everyone worries the time quilt is unravelling once again.
If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if Jurassic Park entered the Twilight Zone, (or dreamt of owning a dinosaur), then this is the book for you. Dinosaurs, secret moon missions, time passages and an asteroid headed straight for Earth all add up to a great adventure.
