A non-fiction pick by glenn

Anyone interested and/or concerned with the changes taking place in Ukraine might consider reading this one.  The book gives us historical detail concerning the geographic area, past social and political developments that lead to the current situation.  The authors review the annexation of Crimea by Russia in March of 2014 as a result of a later disputed referendum.  The economic challenges of Ukraine are revealed including its dependence on Russian gas for heating and the contention over pricing.  European involvement in the situation is noticeably different than the West due to economic dependencies.  Most importantly is Russia’s shift from cooperation to isolation and the big question is what further could possibly come from this.  The blurb on the back cover alerts us .. “it has the potential to draw the United States into another great European war”.

How many will see this coming?  I’m a little worried…
