Essays After Eighty(Mariner Books, 2015)

A non-fiction book pick from Glenn

Here is a short little memoir of the life and times of Donald Hall.  The older I get the more I appreciate the stories of the lives of others.  Have you heard of this literary giant?  His poetry, biographies, children’s books?  Honestly, prior to grabbing this, I was unaware of the man.  If that shows my ignorance, I can live with that.  Nevertheless, I would like to recommend this as a testament to the breadth of a rather remarkable man who gives us the capacity to laugh yet also reflects on the challenges of life that often leave us withered.
